Rich Ford Edgewood celebrates 25 years of success

When you tell the story of Edgewood, one of the main characters is the Rich Ford Car Dealership. Rich Richardson, the founder of Rich Ford, truly believed the Town of Edgewood was full of potential so, he decided to do what no other business had and put down roots in Edgewood, with hope and a dream. “And so, as the town continued to grow, one of the fun things was, that the first incorporated business in the Town of Edgewood was Rich Ford. And it happened to be the same time that Edgewood became a town, officially,” said Darin Wade, the president of Rich Ford.

Twenty-five years later and boy did Rich Richardson’s vision come to life. Since the town’s inception, more and more businesses started to grow within the Edgewood community with the main focus being community over anything. “Jimmy Griego and John Collins are our 2 managers who have been out here for a long period of time. The community knows them, and they know the community as well,” said Wade. “We also have salespeople and technicians who have been out here for quite some time too, so they know the community as well.”

Now, when it comes to the vehicles at Rich Ford Edgewood, they like to say the ‘cars are the stars’. They offer a line of special edition vehicles that you can only get at Rich Ford, as well as a range of electric vehicles… which is quickly turning into the way of the future. “You’ll be surprised at the range. This one that I’m standing in front of is the Mustang Mach-E. We also have the Lightning F-150, which has been the number one selling electric truck in America, last year. So whether it’s the truck or the car or the SUV, Ford has now strongly put itself in the number 2 position behind Tesla,” said Wade.

And we can’t forget to mention their unique Blue Advantage program, that’s providing a level of comfort and confidence in the customer when purchasing a vehicle. “The blue advantage program not only allows us to certify Ford vehicles but also certify non-ford vehicles as well,” said Wade. “So basically you can buy a lot of those vehicles with a lot of confidence because in many cases they have a better warranty than when they were brand new.”

But what about the sales? Don’t worry, Rich Ford is rolling those out too. “We also have a bunch of Rich Ford-certified safety vehicles that are, a lot under $20,000. So, you’ll see a lot of those highlighted for this sale too, so you can take advantage of those as well, either Rich Ford or the certified blue advantage vehicles. Just about every make and model will be available for this sale,” said Wade. When a business has the amount of success Rich Ford Edgewood has, and makes it a quarter of a century, it’s only right that they roll out a series of special events paired with those epic sales for the community to enjoy.

“You know what’s fun to do with a sale like this because it’s community-oriented and it’s event-oriented,” said Wade. “We are going to have hotdogs on the weekends for free. We’re going to have a tax-free weekend, the first weekend of August that we are going to be going through. We’ll also have misfit the monster truck here on two of the weekends. If you want to see a monster truck, up close and in person, crushing cars, this is the location to do that.”
